Elderberry was used by Native Americans in traditional winter season remedies.

Elderberry (Sambucus nigra) is a delicious dark purple fruit used in cuisine around the world. It also has amazing health benefits, especially for Flu Season. The berries and flowers are rich in flavonoids, which are believed to provide its therapeutic effects.

In a placebo-controlled, double-blind study, elderberry was shown to be effective for treating Influenza B. People using the elderberry extract recovered much faster (in 2 days) than those only on a placebo (in 6 days).

Our encapsulated Elderberry berry is squeezed in the autumn for maximum nutrients. This is supported by the whole Elderberry flower, harvested in the summer months when full bloom is reached.
